Hader struck out one batter in a perfect inning and earned a save over the Brewers on Friday.

Hader made quick work of the Brewers Friday, needing just 12 pitches to snag his sixth save of the year. After a disastrous start to his Astros career -- 9.39 ERA with one save through nine appearances -- Hader has seemingly settled in with his new team. He's allowed just two earned runs over his last 12.1 innings, lowering his season ERA to 4.50. He's riding a 5.1-inning scoreless streak with three saves and a win during that span.

Brown (1-4) yielded four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Brewers.

Brown moved back into Houston's rotation for his first start since May 5 and notched his first win of 2024. He coughed up a solo homer to Jake Bauers in the second inning before Joey Ortiz slugged a three-run shot in the fourth. Brown has walked at least three batters in four of his eight starts and now owns a 41:21 K:BB through 37.1 innings. He'll carry a 7.71 ERA into his next appearance, which is currently lined up to be at home against the Angels. Brown could be pushed back to a bullpen role once Jose Urquidy (forearm) is healthy and Ronel Blanco returns from his suspension.

Peralta (3-2) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against Houston.

All five runs against Peralta came on Houston home runs; Jake Meyers knocked a two-run shot in the second inning followed by Jeremy Pena's three-run blast in the fifth. Peralta forced 13 whiffs -- including seven with his slider -- and has generated double-digit swinging strikes in each of his nine starts this season. After beginning the year with a 1.90 ERA through 23.2 frames, he's posted an ugly 6.23 ERA over his last five outings. Peralta's next start is lined up to be in Miami next week.

Beck went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-5 loss to the Giants.

Beck has now homered in back-to-back games, and he's gone 8-for-23 (.348) during a six-game hitting streak. The outfield prospect was known for his power in the minors, but it took a little time for him to click in the majors. He's now hitting .236 with two homers, seven RBI, four runs scored, a stolen base and two doubles over 55 plate appearances. Beck may be running out of time to make an impression with the Rockies, as Nolan Jones (back) started a rehab assignment Wednesday and could return soon.

Feltner (1-4) gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over four-plus innings to take the loss Friday versus the Giants.

This is the fifth time in nine starts Feltner has allowed at least four runs. The Rockies got off to a good start, but the right-hander gave it all back when he was tagged for a three-run home run by Thairo Estrada in the fifth inning. Feltner is now at a 5.69 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB through 49 innings this season. Oddly enough, he's been slightly worse away from Coors Field in 2024, but his next start is projected to be at Oakland.

Matos went 3-for-5 with two doubles and five RBI in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Matos enjoyed one of the best games of his career, driving in at least a run with each of his hits. He added an RBI on a groundout in the seventh inning as well. The 22-year-old is hitting .333 (7-for-21) with 11 RBI and three extra-base hits over his first six contests this season. With Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) out for the year, Matos has a golden opportunity to claim a full-time major-league job if he can keep hitting well.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a hit-by-pitch, one RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Chapman has gone 9-for-32 (.281) over his last eight games as he finally seems to be finding a rhythm at the plate. He got the Giants on the board with an RBI double in the first inning and continued to be involved in the team's subsequent rallies. The third baseman is slashing .218/.273/.362 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 20 RBI, 25 runs scored and four steals through 187 plate appearances this season. While his rate stats are well below his usual standard, the recent improvements are a reason for optimism, especially as he continues to hit in the heart of the order for a lineup devastated by injuries.

Estrada went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and three total runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Estrada's fifth-inning blast put the Giants ahead for the first time in the contest, and they held the lead the rest of the way. The second baseman had gone 4-for-22 (.182) over his previous six contests, though he had a pair of extra-base hits in that span. Estrada is up to an acceptable .250/.274/.435 slash line with seven homers, 24 RBI, 21 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple and one stolen base through 175 plate appearances in a starting role this season.

Hjelle (1-1) allowed three hits and struck out one without walking a batter over two scoreless innings to earn the win Friday over the Rockies.

Hjelle was in the game when the Giants rallied ahead in the fifth inning, and they kept the lead the rest of the way. The right-hander has been decent in May, allowing two runs on 11 hits with a 14:0 K:BB over 10 innings across his last seven appearances. He's at a 2.81 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 17:1 K:BB through 16 innings this season as a multi-inning relief option for the Giants. Hjelle's also added two holds, but he has little chance of seeing consistent late-inning work.

Black allowed four runs on six hits and struck out two without walking a batter over three innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Friday.

Black was tagged for three runs in the first inning and gave up a solo home run to Jordan Beck in the second. This was Black's shortest of three major-league starts so far, likely due to the poor first run through the lineup. He's now at a 7.71 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB over 11.2 innings. The 24-year-old may have a chance to gain traction in the Giants' rotation while Keaton Winn (forearm) is on the injured list, though it's also possible Black gives way to Blake Snell (thigh) next week given the former's middling results so far for the Giants.
